On June 7, 2025, the Inner Mongolia Fengshengtai New Materials Co., Ltd. held a grand ceremony to launch the 6,000-ton meta-aramid project (Phase I) and unveil the Aramid Application Technology Research Institute in the factory. The successful launch of the Fengshengtai Aramid Project broke the long-term international blockade of my country's high-end aramid materials, effectively filling the gap in the industrialization of high-performance aramid fibers in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and even the entire western region.
Li Lin, General Manager of Inner Mongolia Fengshengtai New Materials Co., Ltd., along with several senior leaders and employees, attended the event. General Manager Li Lin pointed out that aramid fiber is known as the "golden silk" and is a key basic material for national strategic emerging industries and defense industries. For a long time, the production technology of high-end aramid materials has been monopolized by foreign countries, which has imposed severe technological blockades and supply restrictions on China. The successful production of the Fengshengtai aramid project has broken the long-standing international blockade on high-end aramid materials in China, effectively ensuring the safety and stability of the national industrial and supply chains. Fengshengtai New Materials, relying on its close strategic cooperation with Donghua University, jointly established the "Fengshengtai Fanglun Application Technology Research Institute". The research institute will focus on the forefront of the industry, focusing on tackling key application technologies such as aramid dry spinning technology and aramid lithium battery separators. Our goal is to break through the core technological bottleneck of dry spinning, achieve independent controllability, and continuously expand the application of aramid materials in high-end fields such as new energy, safety protection, and environmental filtration, leading the technological upgrading and high-quality development of China's aramid industry.
Subsequently, Mr. Wang Xuguang, Chairman of Beijing Bangwei High tech New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., congratulated and wished that Fengshengtai New Materials would be officially completed and put into operation. He stated that General Manager Li Lin led the Fengshengtai team to successfully launch the 6000 ton aramid 1313 project in 16 months, which is a milestone construction miracle. This miracle is the miracle of China's independent aramid technology, the miracle of team unity and hard work, the miracle of government support from all aspects, and the miracle of Chinese manufacturing. The leaders of Jiuyuan District Government in Baotou City stated that the Fengshengtai 6000 ton annual production of intermediate aramid fiber project is a high-quality industrial project that our district has implemented the city's "3+5+N" industrial layout and attracted and landed, creating a "Jiuyuan model" for government enterprise cooperation. The successful completion and operation of this project is of great significance for Baotou City to build a new industrial cluster for polymer new materials warfare, and provides important support for Jiuyuan District to strengthen the only new chemical park in the autonomous region that integrates the "world's three major special fibers". The Fanglun Application Technology Research Institute led by Professor Hu Zuming was unveiled and established, introducing high-quality scientific research resources from Donghua University to promote the solution to the bottleneck problem of dry spinning. Subsequently, amidst the passionate applause of all the guests, an exciting project production ribbon cutting ceremony was held. Twelve guests took the stage together to cut the ribbon. In the moment when the golden scissors cut the red silk, the smoke rose into the sky and the cannon fired in unison. The first phase of the 6000 ton annual production of meta aramid project in Fengshengtai, Inner Mongolia was officially put into operation, marking an important milestone in China's high-end new material localization process.
